About Us

We believe that the big change starts with each of us.  Striving to achieve your best mental and physical health is a key to improve the community at its core, and our mission is to bring those opportunities to help you reach your full potential.  We want to work with every member of the community who might need support whether it is to become fitter and healthier or to increase mental health.  Get Fit and Dance is dedicated to creating this support using dance, fitness, sport, and lifestyle coaching.

Our main aims are:

Improve individuals’ resilience.

Our aim is to support vulnerable members of our community to try and improve confidence and resilience by increasing positive feelings about themselves.  To foster a feeling of achievement regardless of age or ability.  We want everyone to experience increased feelings of self-worth and self-esteem and have confidence in their own capabilities and that their lives are valued and respected.

Improve wellbeing and health

Supporting people with common mental health problems (such as depression or anxiety) associated with challenging experiences and difficult personal situations.

Increase social inclusion

Our aim will be to support people to increase and become more involved in their social network to tackle feelings of isolation or exclusion.  We will nurture the skills and explore different strategies needed to maintain and manage relationships with others.  This will help everyone in the community to feel more socially connected, respected, valued, and cared about.  This will enable them to feel comfortable meeting new people and help them to enjoy social activities.
